Tron Lightcycle Run IS OPEN!!!

Tron Lightcycle Run IS OPEN!!!

We are so excited that TRON Lightcycle run in the Magic Kingdom is officially open.

After watching this attraction being built for so long, we are looking forward to eventually being able to try the ride for ourselves in an upcoming trip.

At this time, guests can access the ride if they purchase an Individual Lightning Lane or if they are able to get a virtual queue boarding group.

Tron Lightcycle Run is based on the Tron movie franchise. In 1982 the original Tron movie hit the big screen and portrayed a computer hacker, who is abducted into the digital world and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escapes is with the help is a heroic security system.

TRON: Legacy was the 2010 sequel which follows Flynn's adult son Sam, who responds to a message from his long-lost father and is transported into a virtual reality called "the Grid", where Sam, his father, and the algorithm must stop the program from invading the real world.

It has been well reported that this ride may not be “fluffy” friendly so we would encourage all riders to try one of the ride vehicles that are located at the entrance.

It is also worth noting that Personal items are not allowed on this ride and this is the first time Disney have installed a locker-system for a roller-coaster attraction.  Lockers are unlocked with MagicBands or ticket cards.   The ride vehicles have a small compartment where mobile phones can be stewed during the ride.

Are you as excited to ride TRON as we are??
